PRESS

Director Tristan Jackson-Pate shows exceptional sensitivity in his handling of the material, allowing silence and stillness, subtle prop moves and clothing changes, to speak as loudly as the dialogue... Remember Me succeeds not just as powerful and intimate theatre but as an important contribution to public discourse about dementia care in the UK.

This adaption of the legend of Sherwood Forest, performed in the round…beautifully managed by Jackson-Pate’s direction, with so much technical and stage awareness… Robin Hood: A Musical Celebration hits the target!

Jackson-Pate’s production immerses the audience, with beautifully linked snippets of the action… an excellent piece of drama
— Daily Info on 'The Fourth Dog'
Tristan Jackson-Pate’s delightful production attracted a large audience of very young children... they giggle noisily at the witty visual and verbal gags... they respond enthusiastically to questions from the cast... a feel good production for the summer holidays.

This double act sparkles like the Blue Carbuncle… throw in some well-choreographed, ridiculous stage fighting, a seduction scene confusing for everyone involved, some excellent lurking and a post-coital handshake, and it becomes an excellent romp of a mystery that will have you laughing along.

MYTH

Get ready to dive headfirst into the chaos and comedy of Ancient Greece! MYTH is a fast-paced, laugh-out-loud romp through the greatest hits of Greek mythology, brought to life by the muses themselves. Expect towering Titans, bickering Olympians, bewildered mortals and a whole lot of divine drama. With cheeky original songs and sharp comic twists, this myth mash-up is perfect for young audiences and grown-up history buffs alike. Big on laughs, full of heart, and bursting with mythological mischief, this one’s got epic written all over it.

MYTH II: HEROES & HALFWITS

Not every Greek hero was, well… heroic. Some were a bit rubbish. This is their story. MYTH II flips the toga on traditional mythology, celebrating the bumblers, blaggers and beautiful disasters who stumbled their way into legend. Who needs strength and valour when you’ve got bad decisions and blind luck? Packed with big laughs, epic fails and questionable choices, this hilariously human take on Greek myth proves that even halfwits can make history. A gloriously silly sequel, or a standalone saga of its own!

EXPLODED VIEW

A gripping short play that explores the insidious ways coercion, entitlement, and toxic masculinity manifest in everyday interactions. Through a series of unsettling encounters at house parties and in public spaces, the play gradually deconstructs a pattern of behaviour that many will recognise all too well, highlighting the cumulative impact of so-called “minor” acts of misogyny.

Exploded View is one of several original plays commissioned as part of ENACT, a ground-breaking theatre and PD programme developed by People’s Theatre Collective and funded by the Home Office. ENACT empowers young people to explore themes of consent, gender, power and emotional literacy through live performance, workshops and guided discussion.

This and other plays from ENACT: Volumes 1 & 2 have been performed in schools across the UK and used as a springboard for rich, often challenging conversations around respect, safety, and how we respond to everyday sexism.

Exploded View is free to access and use with school and community groups, offering teachers and facilitators a powerful resource to prompt open, age appropriate discussions around healthy relationships and behaviour.

Published by Hollywell Press as part of the anthology ‘Enact: Volume 1’ by People’s Theatre Collective.

I’ve also written scripts for several children’s sightseeing tours across European cities from Rome, to Brussels, Oxford and London!
